Mike Sullivan, Broker

Michael Sullivan joined The Nichols Company in 2007. Although a native to South Carolina, he has lived in and around the Charlotte area for most of his life and is very familiar with the dynamic growth our City has experienced, He is excited about the future growth of the Charlotte business community and the role TNC will play in its development. Mike has extensive knowledge and experience in developing historic property. As a member of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Historic Landmark Commission for six years he worked on a number of adaptive re-use projects: Among them, the Highland Mill #3 project in NoDa, W.T. Alexander Plantation in the University area, and the Old Charlotte Cotton Mill and Grace AME Zion Church located in dowtown Charlotte. In his final year on the Commission he served as Chairman.

Mike is also very involved in politics serving in a number of roles. In 1992 he served on the advance team traveling with President Clinton. Locally he has served as Executive Director of the County Democratic Party, Member of the NC Platform Committee, State Executive Committee member, and from 1999 to 2001 as Senator John Edwards Regional Director for Western North Carolina. At present he is the Treasurer of the local Democratic Party and a member of the Executive Board.

Mike is a licensed broker in NC. He is active in a number of political and community organizations. He volunteers at the New Outreach Christian Center, Mecklenburg County School System and the USO. He received his BA from Winthrop University and is a Fellow of the IOPL-NC (UNC-W).
