William Haygood, Broker

William Haygood is a commercial broker for The Nichols Company. As a native Charlottean, local business owner, and lifelong resident, Haygood is extremely familiar with Charlotte and both of the Carolinas. He is an accomplished entrepreneur with ventures in retail, engineering, and technology. Most notably, Haygood founded and built Global Networkers, an IT solutions firm providing services to Fortune 500 and federal government clients, which he sold in 2015. He has been recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as one of Charlotte’s “Forty Under 40” and as a Small Business of the Year - Federal Civilian, for work with government agencies.

Haygood has remained highly active in Charlotte’s corporate community, successfully completing a mentor program with Bank of America, which was featured as a cover for Black Enterprise magazine. As a business leader with over 20 years of consulting and sales experience, Haygood shares a common viewpoint with business owners and a deep understanding of how real estate impacts business. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Prior to joining The Nichols Company, Haygood worked with Argos Real Estate Advisors where he focused on office tenant representation, adaptive reuse projects and infill land. He currently serves on Board of Managers for the Stratford Richardson YMCA. Haygood is an active member in his church, an avid Panthers fan, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children grilling out or riding bikes on the Cross Charlotte Trail (XCLT).
